Complete Refurbishment of Systemation euro by ACT Industrial Buildings

At ACT Industrial Buildings, we pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive refurbishment solutions that breathe new life into existing structures. One recent project involved the full refurbishment of an aging brick-built commercial building, transforming it into a modern, insulated, and visually cohesive facility.

Project Overview

Our scope began with the careful removal and disposal of 850 square meters of hazardous materials, including asbestos and felt roofing. Safety and environmental responsibility were our top priorities throughout this process.

Roofing Upgrades

Next, we replaced the original pitched roofs with high-performance Kingspan Rw1000 insulated panels, significantly enhancing the building's thermal efficiency. For the flat roof sections, we installed a premium Matrix GRP system, providing a durable, weatherproof finish that ensures longevity and low maintenance.

Cladding and External Finish

To unify the building's appearance and bring all sections to a consistent height, we installed galvanised cladding rails on the brick walls, creating a neat parapet upstand detail. The walls were then insulated with 140mm cladding roll and overclad with APL half-round profiled sheets, resulting in a modern, robust exterior that meets current standards.

External Features

To enhance functionality and aesthetics, we added new doors and windows throughout the building. Additionally, five bespoke, powder-coated aluminium door canopies were installed, providing protection from the elements and a sleek, professional finish.

Outcome

The completed refurbishment has dramatically improved the building's thermal performance, safety, and visual appeal. This project exemplifies our ability to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients and their buildings.

At ACT Industrial Buildings, we are ready to bring your existing structure up to modern standards.
