ACT Industrial Buildings was commissioned by Boughton House Estates to transform an aging agricultural structure at Moorefield Farm into a modern, functional industrial warehouse facility. The project involved comprehensive refurbishment works, including asbestos removal, structural upgrades, new services installation, and the construction of a secure, durable warehouse environment. 
 
Project Scope & Key Features 
 
Asbestos Removal: Safe and compliant stripping of asbestos roofing from the existing structure covering 450m². 
Building & Site Area: 
450m² of refurbished steel building 
540m² concrete yard for logistics and vehicle movement 
1,050m² additional hardstanding area allocated for parking and external storage 
Security & Perimeter: 
100 linear meters of powder-coated palisade security fencing to ensure site security 
Structural & Roofing Enhancements: 
120mm composite roof installed for insulation and weatherproofing 
80mm composite wall panels fitted to improve thermal efficiency and durability 
Access & Doors: 
Installation of three-phase insulated roller doors for secure, easy access to the warehouse 
Flooring: 
Resin-coated floors designed for heavy-duty industrial use and ease of maintenance 
Utilities & Services: Complete new water supply and foul waste drainage systems 
Electrical upgrades including new power supplies suitable for modern industrial operations. 
 
Project Outcome 
 
The successful refurbishment of Moorefield Farm's agricultural building into a state-of-the-art industrial warehouse has provided Boughton House Estates with a versatile, secure, and efficient facility. The project was completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
