This November, the ACT Industrial team decided to put down the razors and get behind a cause that means a lot to many of us; Movember. What started as a bit of fun (and a fair amount of questionable facial hair) quickly turned into something bigger: a way for us to raise awareness and support men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer charities.
From the first awkward days of patchy stubble to the proud final week of full well, mostly full moustaches, the team embraced the challenge. The office quickly turned into a showcase of styles: the classic chevron, the dodgy ‘70s look, a couple of accidental handlebars, and at least one moustache that definitely shouldn’t be seen again next year.

But behind the laughs and banter was a shared purpose. Everyone got involved, whether growing, donating, or just cheering (or teasing) from the sidelines. Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues, partners and customers, we raised an amazing £300 for the Movember charity.

Movember continues to do important work, funding life-changing research and support services for men across the UK and beyond. We’re proud to have played a small part in it this year and even prouder of the moustaches that emerged along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported, or simply tolerated the strange new looks around site. We might not keep the moustaches, but we’ll definitely keep the spirit. We are hearing that our very own Pidge may keep his, we are trying to convince him otherwise.

Until next Movember!
