After an extended break, I’m genuinely excited to be back at work.
It was the first break I’ve had in recent years where I was able to properly switch off, mentally and physically and that time away gave me the chance to step back and reflect. While I loved the downtime, it also reminded me why I enjoy what I do and why building this business matters so much.
Last year was very much about company growth. We focused on pushing the business forward, taking on new opportunities, refining how we operate, and laying solid foundations for the future. It was busy, challenging at times, but incredibly rewarding. I’m proud of what we achieved and how far the company has come.
This year, the focus shifts slightly.
While growth will always be important, this year is about the team.
A business can only grow as strong as the people behind it. Investing in the team means more than just adding numbers it’s about developing skills, improving communication, supporting one another, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and involved in the bigger picture.
Building a strong team is how we continue to move the company forward in a sustainable way. It’s how we improve quality, efficiency, and consistency. It’s how we protect the standards we’ve worked hard to build. Most importantly, it’s how we progress the company vision together rather than relying on growth alone.
When the team is aligned, supported, and motivated, growth becomes a natural result rather than the only goal.
Coming back from the break with a fresh perspective has reinforced that point for me. The next stage of our journey is about strengthening what we already have, backing our people, and making sure everyone feels part of where we’re heading.
I’m looking forward to getting stuck back in, working closely with the team, and continuing to build something we can all be proud of.
